Meet the Herbalist

Meet our herbalist Shannon Beatty with Sensorium Herbals, LLC. Shannon lives in Lewisburg, WV where she grows a living masterpiece with medicinal plants in her back yard herb garden and greenhouse.

Shannon believes in the holistic healing power of whole plant medicines for the body, mind and spirit. Her mission is to create traditional herbal remedies aiding others to empower and heal themselves.

Even at a young age, Shannon developed a love for harvesting nature's treasured gifts. As a child, Shannon spent her Sunday afternoons "greening" with her parents and grandparents. They would hunt for wild greens, water cress and herbs in early spring. Shannon recalls the excitement she felt once she was able to identify them on her own.

To further her knowledge in medicinal plants and natural healing, Shannon went on to become an Herbalist. She completed her Herbal Medicine training at the Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine & Apothecary in Sperryville, VA; and with One World Healing with Mimi Hernandez who is the executive director of the American Herbalist Guild. Shannon is a member of the American Herbalist Guild.

With a passion to share the wisdom she obtained, Shannon opened Sensorium Herbals, LLC in 2011. She offers a beautiful variety of products ranging from moisturizing salves and lotions to herbal teas and perfumes. She has a line of cocktail bitters including Lavender, Orange and Coffee Mocha.

Stop by Sensorium Herbals at their retail location at Heal at 178 Lafayette Street in downtown Lewisburg or at the Courthouse Farmers Market at the Parking Lot of the State Fair of West Virginia.
